If you’re not a BCV client yet, you’ll need to attach proof of address from the past 6 months (such as a water, electricity, or telephone bill) along with a legible certified copy of your ID and a current residence permit, if applicable. You can make a certified copy of your ID free of charge at any cantonal bank or for a fee at a Swiss post office or Swiss train station.
